COVID-19 Update

At Woodlawn, we are dedicated to the well-being and safety of our families, our employees and the community we are grateful to serve. We want to do our part to address the COVID-19 pandemic in a proactive and practical way with responsibility and care.

The Cemetery grounds will remain open for normal operating hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 7 days a week, but are subject to change. Visitors are free to either walk or drive to their destinations.

The Cemetery Offices are open for those making arrangements for Cemetery property.  Also, we have the ability to discuss and show Cemetery property to you through “virtual meetings” and we encourage you to contact us by telephone at (718) 920-0500 or make an appointment online if you are interested in exploring that option.

Cemetery services can now be held inside The Woolworth building or Crematory, or in any of our Community Mausoleums. Please contact us by telephone at (718) 920-0500 for details regarding burial services at Woodlawn.

We are asking our patrons to take the same precautions as our employees. If you feel sick, please refrain from visiting. Unvaccinated visitors are asked to wear masks while interacting with our staff indoors or if riding in Cemetery vehicles.  We encourage the use of masks for all visitors if this makes them more comfortable and our staff will respect those wishes and wear masks as well. You may always contact us via phone if you have questions or concerns or if we may be of assistance in any way, (718) 920-0500.

The status of all events and programs will be continually updated here on our website.

It is our sincere honor to be a place where many find peace amidst our beautiful and historic landscape. It is our desire that we will continue to offer a place of hope and peace as we navigate these difficult times and practice social responsibility.

We look forward to the day when these measures will no longer be necessary and hope that by implementing these precautions now we hasten the arrival of that day. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Woodlawn Management & Staff
